About the Founder
Mike Whaley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Novus
Business Services, Inc. was founded by Mike Whaley in early 2002 as a Utah corporation.
Mike received his BS degree in Accounting
from Norfolk State University
and completed the Harvard Graduate School of Business Program for
Management Development (PMD). Mike has over thirty years of finance,
operations, strategic planning and deal making experience in the
manufacturing, electric utility, electrical equipment, consumer
products, government defense, and government intelligence industries.
He has served as the Vice President & C O O of the Commercial &
Government Systems Unit of Eastman Kodak Company, as Senior Vice
President & Chief Financial Officer of Dynatec International, and the
CFO, of the Commercial Nuclear Fuel Unit of Westinghouse Electric Corp.
Mike has also consulted in private practice and sits on the advisory
board of a start up electric energy company and a title & escrow
company. Mike also has over fifteen years of domestic and international
Merger & Acquisition experience, among them the leadership of
Westinghouse’s bid to acquire the United States Enrichment Corporation,
while at Kodak, the leadership of the strategic acquisition of a
Canadian enterprise, and several domestic and international acquisitions
completed by Novus and by Novus in conjunction with our M&A Advisory
partner The Hayes Group International.
